Marapolítica (Creeperian Spanish for: Marapolitics) is a pejorative Creeperian political term which refers to politicians and military officers using their positions of power to make illegal negotiations with criminal organizations in Creeperopolis for their own personal financial and/or political gain.
The most well-known instance of marapolítica was when several government officials of the Alfonsisto (1999–2003) were involved with collaborating in Mara Salvatrucha activities to advance their own personal fortunes. The scandal was one of the reasons for the 2003 Creeperian coup d'état which deposed Emperor Alfonso VI and his government, replacing him with Emperor Alexander II.
