In Creeperian politics, elections are not held. According to section 40 of the Imperial Criminal Code of Creeperopolis, it is illegal to hold or attempt to hold elections in Creeperopolis, advocate for the implementation of elections in Creeperopolis, or speak positively of the electoral process publicly or privately. The most recent election in Creeperopolis was the 1932 parliamentary election which was held in October 1932, months before the outbreak of the Creeperian Civil War in January 1933.

Elections have occurred in Creeperopolis during three periods: the Republic of Creeperopolis (also known as the First Parliamentary Era) between 1729 and 1741, the Northern Confederation during the Creeperian rebellions of 1833 to 1835, and the Second Parliamentary Era between 1887 and 1933. Of these three periods, only the latter featured nation-wide democratic elections while the former two were limited to certain parts of the country and were not fully recognized as being legitimate. Under both the Republic of Creeperopolis and the Northern Confederation, only elections for the head of state and the parliament were held; there were no local elections. During the Second Parliamentary Era, parliamentary, gubernatorial, and local elections[a] were held.
