The Battle of the Three Popes, also called the Battle of Palenque, occurred on 17 October 571 in modern-day Creeperopolis. The battle was a part of the Great Schism of Christianity and was fought between a joint coalition of the Northern and Southern Romanyan Empires against the Kingdom of Creeperia. The Northern and Southern Empires, who supported Antipope John III and Antipope Felix IV, respectively, came to an agreement to hold an ecumenical council to end the Great Schism, which had been ongoing since 540, after they defeated Pope John III, who descended from the lineage of the deposed Pope Vigilius I.
