The Salisfordian Parliament (Salisfordian: Parlamento Salfortano) is the national parliament of the Kingdom of Salisford. It is a bicameral legislature composed of a lower house, called the Grand Council (Gran Consiglio), and an upper house, the Senate (Senato). The parliament has a total of 1025 members, 680 Councilors (Consiglieri), elected from each of Salisford's regions, make up the Grand Council, and 345 appointed Senators (Senatori) make up the Senate. In addition to passing laws, the Parliament is formally responsible for nominating the First Minister for royal approval. The Parliament was first established in 1800 by the Statuto dello Stato adopted by Carlo I and, over time, evolved into its current form. Both houses meet in the city of Savotta, the Grand Council in the Palazzo Consiglio, and the Senate in the Palazzo Senato.
