Pope Juan III (520 – 13 July 574), also rendered as Pope Ioannes and born as Ioannes Decumius Sollemnis, was the Pope from 561 until his death in 574. He was a Pope of the Great Schism and was an exiled supported of the deposed Pope Vigilio I. He was succeeded by Pope Benedicto I. His victory at the Battle of the Three Popes on 17 October 571 ended the Great Schism and ended the antipapacies of Antipopes Juan III and Félix IV.
