The 2022 Anadesa shooting occurred on 6 March 2022 at 1:42 p.m. ISC, injuring six people.[1] The shooting was perpetrated by the Kapahu Alana Revolutionary Movement (MRKA), a far-left separatist group fighting for the independence of Esclaveta.[1] Sergio Tejón Galdámez, the captain general of the San Carlos Islands, announced that the three men responsible for the shooting, Kahikookeakua Auali'i Keona, Hokuhelele'i Kilikikopa Rodríguez y Ekewaka, and Haupuehuehu Nohea Liwai, were arrested on 7 April 2022 and sentenced to multiple life sentences.[2]
