A group of civilians in [[Masario]] claimed that a man who works as a mailman and his family, who had allegedly stolen thousands of dollars of mailed goods, were atheists. A civilian began filming a man who called himself "Señor Mataateo." He spoke to the camera "The man who lives here, Kevin Águila Navarro, his wife, Concepción Varela Piñón, his son, Kevin Águila Piñón, and his daughter, Michelle Águila Piñón, have become apostates to the faith and have proclaimed themselves to be atheists. We are here at 4442 Calle Mafrerio, Masario, San Miguel, and we will show you how to cure someone of atheism." Señor Mataateo and 3 others grabbed jerrycans of gasoline and splashed it all over the house. As that was happening, Águila Navarro opened the door and asked what on terraconserva was happening. Señor Mataateo said "You and your family are being cured." The four lit the house on fire, pushed Kevin inside, and closed the door, lighting it on fire too. The four ensured that no one left and they let the house burn for 6 minutes. Señor Mataateo finished by stating "And that is how you cure people of atheism" and the recording ended. Firefighters arrived 2 minutes after the 5 fled. All four occupants were burned alive.<ref>{{cite web|url=https://www.nationstates.net/page=rmb/postid=37761790|title=Gaceta Creeperiano - 5 Atheists Beheaded in San Miguel|date=February 29, 2020}}</ref>

On 25 July 2020, a group of five civilian vigilantes murdered a family of four accused atheists in Masario, San Miguel, Creeperopolis, by burning them alive in their homes. The incident was filmed by the group who committed the murders and spoke about "curing atheism" throughout the video.

The incident has been described as a hate crime outside of Creeperopolis. Both the San Miguelan and Creeperian governments have failed to take any legal action or launch any investigation into the incident. The case remains unsolved and no suspects have been charged.

Course of events

A group of civilians in Masario, San Miguel, claimed that a man who worked as a mailman and his family, who had allegedly stolen thousands of dollars of mailed goods, were atheists. The family had denied the allegations of being atheists, as well as denying the allegations of stealing thousands of dollars of mailed goods.

On 25 July 2020 at 12:10 p.m. TSS (AMT–4), a masked man who referred to himself as "Señor Mataateo" (Creeperian for "Mr. Atheist Killer") was recorded on video, saying: "The man who lives here, Kevín Guillermo Águila Navarro, his wife, Concepción María Varela Piñón de Águila, his son, Kevín Gonzalo Águila Piñón, and his daughter, Michelle Fátima Águila Piñón, have become apostates to the faith and have proclaimed themselves to be atheists. We are here at 4442 Calle Mafrerio, Masario, San Miguel, and we will show you how to cure someone of atheism." The man, and three other masked individuals, began dousing the Águila's home with gasoline.

As they were dousing the home with gasoline, Águila Navarro opened the door and demanded to know what the four men were doing and why a fifth man was filming them. The group's leader told him, "You and your family are being cured," and then the four men lit the home on fire and pushed Águila Navarro inside, shutting the door and lighting it on fire as well. The four men stood on all sides of the home armed with Figueroa-80 Tipo-1980 shotguns to ensure that no one attempted to leave the burning building. After about six minutes, the house collapsed, and "Señor Mataateo" spoke to the camera stating, "And that is how you cure people of atheism," and the recording ended.

Aftermath

The five men fled the scene as soon as the video recording ended, and two minutes later, firefighters arrived at the scene and began attempting to put out the fire. After fifteen minutes, the fire was declared to have been extinguished. The firefighters at the scene declared that four occupants were burned alive inside the house, who were later identified as the four Águila's.[1]

Video and screenshot leaks

At 4:07 p.m. TSS (AMT–4), the video was uploaded to the internet on a Creeperian gore website by an anonymous uploader, presumably one of the five men involved in the incident. Thirty minutes later, seven screenshots of the video were posted to Shichan, a popular anonymous Quebecshirite imageboard website. The uploader put subtitles in Quebecshirite on each screenshot describing what was occurring in each image. The video was also posted to Dice!.
