Career

Morovan Navy

The Morovan Navy ordered the Typhoon submarine class on 16 January 1985. One of the submarines in the order was MAS Patriarch. The submarine was laid down on 8 August 1979 and launched on 16 January 1985. She entered service on 3 March 1985 under the command of Captain Leonard Brezhnev.

On 10 January 2020, the Morovan government attempted to make contact with and support the Deltinian Liberation Army, a terrorist organization in southern Creeperopolis fighting for the independence of the department of San Juan.[1] The Creeperian delegation to the Terraconserva Council of Nations introduced Terraconserva Council of Nations Resolution 005 on 11 January 2020 which established a blockade of Morova.[2] The Armas Blockade began on 15 January 2020 with the Creeperian, Gandorian, Paleocacherian, and Sacramatian Navies mobilizing and surrounding Morova.[3] The International Coalition for Morova (INTCOMOR) stated that it would remain in Morova during the blockade.[4] The submarine was mobilized during the blockade to defend Morovan waters and was commanded by Captain Armond Myshkin. The Treaty of Asr El Ziqara was signed on 26 January 2020 which ended the blockade.

Morovan Airlines Cargo Flight 39 was shot down by the Creeperian Air Force on 21 January 2020 and The Lady Kieva was sunk by the Quebecshirite Navy on 27 March 2020, killing everyone in both incidents.[5][6] Both incidents were a part of the larger 2019–20 Morovan crisis where Morova was seen as an "international pariah" and many Terraconserva Council of Nations Resolutions were passed regarding the country. Terraconserva Council of Nations Resolution 011 was passed on 28 March 2020 and instated another naval blockade of Morova.[7]

The Battle of the Glaceis Ocean began on 30 March 2020 when the Quebecshirite Portsmouth Fleet attacked the shipyard of Kieva, which the Morovans claimed was unprovoked.[8] The Morovan submarines, including Patriarch, were mobilized to engaged the blockaders. Myshkin was in command of the submarine during the battle.

Following the beginning of the battle, the Creeperian Naval fleet sent to participate in the blockade immediately ordered BIC Chalatenango, BIC Nuevo San Juan, and BIC Denshire to hunt down a Morovan submarine detected in the area, Patriarch. The destroyers detected Patriarch and each fired two Arpón missiles at the submarine, six in total. The aircraft carrier BIC Emperador Adolfo III was put on high alert and its aircraft, sixty Maroto Botín FA-13 fighter jets, were prepared to take off if necessary to engage the submarine. BIC San Lucas hospital ship was also prepared to deal with any potential casualties which could be inflicted by the submarine if it attacked. The remaining battleships, heavy cruisers, and light cruisers were placed on standby should they be needed.[9] The missiles pierced the hull of Patriarch, killing 37 of its crew of 160. Patriarch responded by firing six R-39 Rif torpedoes towards the destroyers, with two heading for each destroyer.[10] The Creeperian destroyers were completely unharmed, however, since the destroyers were were well outside the maximum range of the torpedoes. The submarine was ordered to surface and surrender its entire crew to the destroyers. The submarine was ordered to fire all their torpedoes as to not play any "funny games" with the destroyers.[11] The submarine surfaced and surrendered to the Creeperans. The crew, including Myshkin, were captured by the Creeperans and the submarine was secured. They were later deported to Groffenord in mid-April 2020.

Creeperian Navy

The Creeperian Navy returned to Creeperopolis following the battle and the surrender of Alyosha Karamazov, the dictator of Morova. The Creeperans towed the submarine back to Creeperopolis, seizing it as their own, after making quick repairs to holes it had suffered. There was a crew of twenty on board during the return journey making sure it did not flood and sink. The ships returned to Sonsonate, Sonsonate, Creeperopolis on 5 April 2020 and the submarine was lifted out of the water and drained.

The ship was renamed to BIC DA 109 on 5 April 2020, and nicknamed Pontífice, and the Creeperian Navy began repairing the submarine. The submarine was also refitted and renovated, updating its internal gauges and instruments with newer technologies and adjusting it to utilize Creeperian torpedoes and missiles. The ship entered official service with the Creeperian Navy on 31 March 2021 during a "show of force" of the Creeperian Navy in celebration of the one year anniversary of the Battles of the Glaceis Ocean.[12]
