History

Establishment

On 30 September 1949, the right-wing Catholic Imperial Restoration Council declared victory in the Creeperian Civil War (1933–1949) against the left-wing National Council for Peace and Order. The Imperial and National Councils were fighting for control of the Creeperian government and both supported rival claimants to the Creeperian throne; the Imperial Council supported Emperors Romero I (1933–1946) and Romero II (1946–1976) while the National Council supported Emperors Miguel VII (1933–1947) and Marcos I (1947–1949). Although being fiercely anti-monarchist, the far-left Creeperian Social Communist Party (PCSC) supported the National Council against the Imperial Council and eventually became the leading force of the National Council.

After the National Council's defeat, the Imperial Council outlawed all political parties on 4 October 1949, including the Creeperian Social Communist Party. That same day, the Imperial Council merged various right-wing political parties into a single party: the far-right Nationalist Creeperian Catholic Royal Initiative and the Pro-Fatherland Front of Unification (IRCCN y la'FPPU), more commonly known as the Creeperian Initiative (IC). Many of the National Council's soldiers continued to fight the new Creeperian government following the end of the civil war, beginning a period of left-wing partisan resistance in Creeperopolis.

Two of the National Council's former leaders, Pascual Espinar Casaus, the National Council's Minister for Public Safety from 1934 to 1949, and Pedro Morillo Coronil, a commanding officer of the Siege of San Salvador, established the Restored Creeperian Social Communist Party (RPCSC) on 29 October 1949 as the direct successor of the defunct Creeperian Social Communist Party. Many of the former party's leadership, who were still being imprisoned by the Creeperian government, recognized the RPCSC as the PCSC's legal successor and called upon Creeperans to rise up against the Creeperian government. Following the executions of many high-ranking National Council leaders on 25 December 1949, the RPCSC was renamed to the Revolutionary League of Creeperian Miguelists (LRMC) to identify itself with Miguelism, the ideology of the National Council which was named after Miguel VII.
