Víctor Emmanuel Pacheco y Durán (Creeperian: Վձծտոր Եմմանփել Պաճեծո յ Դփրըն; born 20 April 1959), commonly known as Pachán (Պաճըն) is a Creeperian football manager and retired football player who is considered to have been the greatest Creeperian football player of all time, playing for the Creeperopolis national team from 1982 until 2006, and playing in the Liga Imperial until 2007 at the age of 48, the oldest player to ever play in the Liga Imperial. He is currently the manager of the Liga Imperial team CF Adolfosburg.

Pacheco Durán played at the Antonio José Sáenz Heredia University (UASH) during his college years from 1978 to 1981, winning the AFNCC Final in 1981, which was also the university's first championship since the 1932 season. While playing for the Antonio José Sáenz Heredia University, he also played on the Creeperopolis U–20 team from 1977 to 1978 and then the Creeperopolis U–23 team from 1979 to 1981.

Pacheco Durán is one of the most successful football players in Creeperian history, playing in a record 878 domestic matches and scoring a record 401 goals. As a player, he has won nine Copa Creeperianos, ten Liga Imperial MVP Awards, and the 1981 ANF Most Valued Rookie Award. As a manager, he has also won an additional Copa Creeperiano in 2019. He holds the Creeperopolis national team record for the most caps at 201 caps and the most goals at 91 goals.

Early life

Víctor Emmanuel Pacheco y Durán was born on 20 April 1959 in Plaza El Rancho, Adolfosburg, Adolfosburg, Creeperopolis. His father was Colonel Armando Xavier Pacheco y Jalisco (1920–1991) and his mother was Guadalupe Gabriela Durán y Menjívar de Pacheco (1929–1999). He had two older siblings, Armando José Pacheco y Durán (1953–1988) and Consuela Guadalupe Pacheco y Durán (born 1957), and three younger siblings, María Gloria Pacheco y Durán (1962–2010), Antonio José Pacheco y Durán (born 1965), and Blanca Bertila Pacheco y Durán (born 1967).

Pacheco Durán was introduced to association football at an early age and grew a passion for the sport. He played for his elementary school's football team, and then later for the Carpio Maroto Secondary School's football team from 1974 to 1977. He won the Adolfosburg Secondary School Division I Championship all four years he played for the Carpio Maroto Secondary School. His skills and talent in the sport attracted several Creeperian colleges, which offered him full scholarships to play at their college. Pacheco Durán decided to attend and play for Antonio José Sáenz Heredia University (UASH).

College career

Antonio José Sáenz y Heredia University

In college, he played for the Romerists of the Antonio José Sáenz y Heredia University in the Creeperian National College Football Association (ANCFC). In his first year of playing for the program in the 1978 season, the Romerists finished as the runners-up, losing to the Saint Alfonso University from Adolfosburg, which had also offered him a scholarship to play there, by a score of 2–3. He excelled in his first year of playing for the program and was awarded the "Athlete of the Year Award" by the university.

Prior to the start of the 1979 season, the Creeperian Army killed 1,000 to 1,500 peasants in San Adolfo, Xichútepa, who initiated a strike and rebellion against the National Coffee and Sugar Corporation (CORNACA) and the company's unethical working conditions. As a result of the massacre, commonly known as La'Matanza (The Massacre or The Slaughter), the entire football program of the Antonio José Sáenz Heredia University refused to play in the 1979 season in protest. All of the players involved in the protest, including Pacheco Durán, were fined $5,000 dollars by the university for refusing to play and costing the university money in lost ticket sales. In the 1980 season, the players lifted their protest and returned to playing football. The team again finished the season as runners-up in the ANCFC playoffs, losing to the House of Martínez–Pelayo University from Tuxtla Martínez by a score of 1–3. Pacheco Durán was again awarded the "Athlete of the Year Award" by the university.

In the 1981 season, the team made the Final of the AFNCC playoffs for the fifth time in six years, but the university had not one any of the previous four appearances. The last time the university won the Final was in 1932 before the start of the Creeperian Civil War. The university was playing the Saint Alfonso University again in the Finals, and the game was anticipated to be one of the greatest in AFNCC Final history. Saint Alfonso University had a lead of 3–0 entering the second half of the match, and between the 60th and 70th minutes, Pacheco Durán scored three unanswered goals to tie the game at 3–3. The game ended regulation still tied at 3–3, and in overtime, both teams scored, with extra time ending in a 4–4 tie. The two teams then resorted to penalties to decide the game. During the penalties, Saint Alfonso University missed its fifth penalty while the teams were tied 4–4 in penalties. Pacheco Durán lined up and scored the game-winning penalty, ending the game 4(5)–4(4) and earning the Antonio José Sáenz Heredia University's first AFNCC Championship since 1932. He was awarded "Athlete of the Year Award" for the third time that year.

Creeperopolis U–20

While playing in college, Pacheco Durán also played for the Creeperopolis U–20 team from 1977 to 1978. He played fifteen matches during his two year career playing for the team, and during his fifteen matches, he scored nine goals.

Creeperopolis U–23

In 1979, Pacheco Durán was upgraded to the Creeperopolis U–23 team when he turned twenty-three years old. During his time playing for the Creeperopolis U–23 team between 1979 and 1981, he played twenty-one matches, and during his twenty-one matches, he scored eleven goals. He scored a Creeperopolis U–23 record five goals in a game against the El Salvador U–23 team on 15 July 1980 in a 6–0 victory.

Pacheco Durán married his girlfriend since university, Elena María Hernández y Flores, on 19 September 1984 in Nuevo Xichútepa, Xichútepa, in a Creeperian Catholic ceremony. They have four children:
