The 2020 Terraconservan Cup is the scheduled 24th installment of the Terraconservan Cup, the quadrennial international men's football championship for all three continental football confederations: CONFUSUR, LFE, and OFL.
The bidding process for the 2020 Terraconservan Cup occurred on 1 June 2013, seven years before the tournament itself. The Terraconservan Cup Executive Voting Committee voted for the host in a secret ballot, with a simple majority required to determine the host. In the event of a tie, the bid with the fewest votes will be eliminated. Of the twenty-three members of the Terraconservan Cup, six were ineligible to vote due to them bidding to host the tournament, leaving only eligible seventeen voting members. Nine votes were required for a bid to be selected.
Tirol had a relatively broad choice of stadia that satisfied the Terraconservan Cup's minimum capacity requirements, with one satisfying the recommendation for finals capacity.
The two largest stadia in the country, the Atempèpruch-Stadion and Federazion Arena were selected, with the prior being selected as the venue for the final. The four other host cities held one stadium each. The Pretoria Provincial Stadium in Trënt was selected following the successful bid to host the 2021 Ecros Championship, the Pontenord-Stadion was selected in its place for the Ecros Championship. Two stadia were selected for expansion, with the Alpin Arena in Porsenù to be expanded from a capacity of 28,000 to 45,000, under the provision that the rising Alpin Louva team would in future use the stadium; the other stadium to be expanded was the Stadion Gherdëina in Santa Cristina Gherdëina, from a capacity of 35,000 to 50,000. The Alpin Arena was to be kept at the heightened capacity until the end of LFE Ecros 2021.
Various other stadia, such as those in Ampëz and Innsbruck, were not selected. The venues covered three of the five provinces of Tirol, with the highest number in the Trentin region with two in the province.
Each team had to present a final squad of 23 players, three of whom had to be goalkeepers. Players in the final squad could be replaced for serious injury up to 24 hours prior to kickoff of the team's first match.
