Nuevo Amanecer (Creeperian Script: Նփեվո Ամանեծեր, Creeperian Spanish pronunciation: [ˈnwe.βo a.ma.neˈseɾ]; "New Dawn" in Creeperian Spanish; Sequoyan: ᎢᏤ ᎤᎩᏥᏍᎬ, transliterated: Itse Ugitsisgv), officially the Captaincy General and Department of Nuevo Amanecer, is a department of Creeperopolis. It is the country's southernmost department and its most recent department, being incorporated in December 2022 following Creeperopolis' controversial annexation of Sequoyah territory following a two-year long military occupation.
The department's current captain general is General Lázaro Chacón González, one of the commanding officers of CODECO's military intervention in Sequoyah. The department's largest and capital city is San Juan Diego, which was founded in the 15th century by Creeperian conquistador Gonzalo Vázquez Luján. Nuevo Amanecer is divided into four municipalities: Navidad, San Juan, Secoya, and Vázquez.
