In Creeperopolis, vehicle registration plates, referred to as plates (Creeperian – Creeperian: պլածաս; Creeperian – Iberic: placas), are issued by the Ministry of Internal Affairs.
Design
Each of the thirty departments of Creeperopolis have had a unique design for their vehicle registration plates since 1973. Each design is required to have the name Creeperopolis in large font on the top of the registration plate and the name of the department in a smaller font on the bottom of the registration plate. Each department is allowed to introduce a design on the registration plate which represents the culture of the department.
Serial formats
There are four approved serial formats in use in the thirty departments of Creeperopolis. Military serial formats are legally not required to follow the formats of the departments and the Creeperian Armed Forces can assign a serial format of any kind to its registered vehicles.

Starting designator
Each registration plate has a starting designator which is assigned depending on the type of vehicle the plate is registered to.
