The Coronado Alvarado expedition was a failed Creeperian expedition to Tierrasur with the goal of venturing as deep into the continent as possible and to locate the world's South Pole. The expedition was organized by the Creeperian Navy and commanded by Admiral Gonzalo Coronado Alvarado, after whom the expedition was subsequently named.
It departed San Miguel de Martínez 30 November 1851. After landing in Tierrasur on 24 December 1851, the expedition ventured deep into Tierrasur, however, by mid-February 1852, much of the expedition's supplies had been lost or exhausted and a considerable amount of the expedition had died, forcing the expeditionary force to return to the ships and abandon the expedition. Upon arriving at the shores of the Southern Ocean, the expedition was unable to find their ships. The force split into two groups and marched in opposite directions to locate the ships. When one force found the ships, they returned to Rakeo and requested a search party be sent to find the other half of the force. After two subsequent searches, the other half of the force was never found, and all of them are presumed to have died, including Coronado Alvarado himself.
