Leiðangursstöð III(Lyoan:Expedition station III) is a research base in tierrasur. It was established in 1993. This base was created on the other side of the frozen lake, Lake Jan to study more areas. It is a main storage facility in Lake Jan which houses multiple snow mobiles and equipment. It is the third station in Lake Jan that operates all year around.
