He was installed as manager after the previous manager, Armando Dávalos Casanova, was fired for failing to lead the team beyond the Round of 16 of the ANF Division I Championship for two years in a row. Since his hiring, the club has won the ANF Division I Championship in 2021 and is currently playing in the ANF Premier League for the first time since 2015.
