The Deltinians (singular: Deltinian; Deltinian: دلتينيين; transliterated as: diltiniiyn; Creeperian: Դելտինիանոս / Deltinianos), also known as the Deltinian people, are a an ethnic group native to southern Ecros who currently inhabit San Juan, the southernmost department of Creeperopolis. Deltinians historically inhabited territories ranging from southern Andaluzia to Salisford and Montcrabe, to most of modern-day Creeperopolis, eventually being forced to relocated either through wars or forced deportations.

Etymology

The term Deltinian first appears around 100 BC and was applied to the Deltinian people by the Romanyan Empire. The original Romanyan name given to the Deltinians was Populus Deltaeianus, literally meaning "People of the Delta," as the Deltinians mostly inhabited the Fez Delta. Overtime, the name was shortened to simply Deltaeianus, or "of the Delta."

In the Deltinian language, the term was rendered as دلتينيين (diltiniiyn), as well as in Arabic. In the Andaluzian, Montcraben, Creeperian, Salisfordian languages, Deltinian was rendered as Deltiniano, and in the Creeperian script of Creeperian language, it is rendered as Դելտինիանոս. Some racial slurs, which are derivatives of the term Deltinian, have manifested, especially in Creeperopolis, including Delato (Դելատո), Delo (Դելո), and Delto (Դելտո).
