The OU military intervention in Akvatika,[note 1] also known as the OU military intervention in Shaoyu,[note 2] is an ongoing military conflict on Akvatika Island (also known as Shaoyu Island), Zloveshchiy. The military intervention is led by the an Ostlandet Union-led coalition known as the OU Task Force for Shaoyu (OUTFS), which is intervening to establish an OU mandate on the island following the discovery of the Akvatika Island genocide. OUTFS is composed of the armed forces of Akvarelusus, Baltanla, Gjorka, Monsilva, New Gandor, Paleocacher, and Rakhman, and it is further supported by military units from Jackson, Kivu, and Pavulturilor.
Political tensions between Monsilva and Zloveshchiy over the island date back as far as 1969, when Zloveshchiy was given control over the island from Jackson, who had held the island as Niao Dao after seizing it from the Kingdom of Great Shan in 1828. The Kingdom of Monsilva's far-right government frequently conflicted with neighboring Zloveshchiy's far-left government during the 1970s, and Akvatika served as a prominent and contentious issue for both. Conflict over the island died down briefly after the establishment of the Monsilvan Republic, however they resurfaced in 1984 after prime minister Hsu Xue-zhou said "Zloveshchiy's control of Shaoyu is equivalent to your neighbor controlling your own backyard." This quote would be used frequently by people who protested against Zloveshchiy's administration of the island. Tensions between the two countries gradually increased over the following years until June 2023, with the announcement by newly elected prime minister Lin Yao-tang that Monsilva would claim Akvatika as its own territory.
Simultaneously, during the sudden increases in tensions between the two nations, agents of the Pavulturilori National Security Service had been operating undercover on Akvatika. On 23 August 2023, the Ostlandet Union announced the discovery of the Akvatika Island genocide which had been operating since 1969 and had lead to approximately eight million deaths. Consequently, the OU announced that it was officially recognizing the island as Monsilvan territory and demanded that Zloveshchiy relinquish control over it immediately. On 25 August, the President of Zloveshchiy rejected the OU's demand to relinquish control. On 27 August, a vote to place an OU mandate on the island was successfully passed in the OU legislature. On 31 August, the OU military intervention officially began.
The intervention was concluded with the surrender of 5,210 Zloveshchiyan soldiers in the city of Yinjiang on 30 September 2023.

Denkart: Zulqarnain I, the Emperor of Denkart, stated the OU had Denkart's "full support" and that they will "continue to support those who have lost what was their right and belongings, and shall eradicate those who have wronged others".[1]
Eleutherios: Stavros II, the Federal Chancellor of Eleutherios, stated Eleutherios stood with the OU and that Eleutherios is prepared to send military and economic aid.[2]
Groffenord: A spokesperson from the office of Werner Herrmann, Chancellor of Groffenord, stated Groffenord supports the OU intervention into Shaoyu stating they would "aid the Ostlandet Union in whatever way we can". However, the spokesperson also stated that Groffenord would be unable to send military support due to the situation in Morova.[3]
Hapatmitas: Cormac Gilchrist, the Federal Chancellor of Hapatmitas, condemned the Zloveshchiyan acts of genocide on residents of Shaoyu and declared that the country would materially and monetarily support the Ostlandet Union Task Force for Shaoyu.[4]
Hazbin: Erick I, Emperor of Hazbin, condemned the Zloveshchiyan government stating the "Shaoyu crisis highlights the complete ineffectiveness of the socialist regime". However, he stated Hazbin would not send military aid to the OU task force, instead supporting volunteers from Hazbin joining willingly.[5]
Jackson: Sydney Johnson, the President of Jackson, stated Jackson is "in full support of the OU and the Monsilvan government" and that Jackson would be willing send economic and military aid to the OU forces.[6]
Kivu: Alexandra Berkhoff, the Prime Minister of Kivu, stated that Kivu will send military troops and aid to assist the OU's intervention in response the Genocide on the island.[7]- Template:Country data Leorkhin: Leopold I, the Emperor of Leorkhin, condemned the Zloveshchiyan attack on the Paleocacherian navy stating Leorkhin "stands with the families of the victims as they mourn their dead." He also warned New Illyricum from supporting Zloveshchiy in the conflict.[8]
New Illyricum: The Congress of New Illyricum released a statement saying that New Illyricum condemned the OU's "illegal" attempt to grant Akvatika Island to Monsilva. Ernesto Lucius Scaevolus, the Grand Marshall of the Union, pledged to send military aid to Zloveshchiy, however this action was vetoed by Congress, with the opposition led by Marius Montus. However New Illyricum has still pledged to send civil aid and supplies to Zloveshchiy".[9]
Pavulturilor: Meir Cohen, Marshal of Pavulturilor, condemned Zloveshchiy calling their annexation of Shaoyu "imperialist" and stated Pavulturilor would send troops to assist in the OU's intervention.[10]
