Sydney Johnson is the 11th and current president of Jackson. She became president officially on September 1, 2020 and will serve her term until that same date in 2030.
Background
Sydney Johnson attended MIT in Madison for 4 years, earning her bachelor degree in political sciences. She went on to get elected as a delegate for the Jackson Social Democratic Party as one of their representatives. After serving her term for 5 years, she became a full time stock trader on the Jacksonville Stock Exchange. In 1990 she was chosen to be the new Clerk of the Congress for 3 years, before restarting her stock trading career. Then in 2019 wanting to get back into politics, but having already served her term as delegate, she ran for President of Jackson and won on the Jackson Social Democratic Party, 61.2% to 38.8%.
