Sulayman ibn Iftikhar al-Mutasim al-Badri (Deltinian: سليمان بن افتخار المعتصم البدري; 1953 – 22 November 1978) was a Deltinian rebel leader and Islamic leader of the Society of Deltinian Brothers in 1978. He was the son of Iftikhar al-Mutasim, a Deltinian religious scholar and Islamic leader whose assassination led to the start of the Deltinian Insurgency.
Al-Mutasim was assassinated on 22 November 1978 by members of the Society of Deltinian Brothers who feared he would challenged Muhammad al-Umar to the position of emir of the Emirate of Deltino. The assassination was denounced by al-Umar, and his killers were executed in December 1978. Al-Umar later described al-Mutasim as a "martyr" for the Deltinian cause.
