The 1878 Adolfosburgo–San Salvador match was the first ever professional football match ever held in Creeperopolis. The match was contested by CF Adolfosburgo and CF San Salvador and was scheduled in accordance with an imperial decree issued by Creeperian Emperor Adolfo III in February 1878. The match was held on 14 June 1878 in commemoration of the 45-year anniversary of the Revolution of 1833. It is considered to be the beginning of the Rivalidad Antiguo, the oldest rivalry in Creeperian professional sports.
