San Salvador ("Holy Savior") is the capital and the most populous department of Creeperopolis and its city of the same name. It is the country's political, cultural, educational, and financial center.
The department, as well as the city, was almost entirely destroyed during the Siege of San Salvador during the Creeperian Civil War.
San Salvador borders the departments of San Salvador del Norte, Santa Ana, Senvar, Zapatista, and San Luís. San Salvador also borders the State of the Church and has a long coastline on Lake San Salvador and Lake Zapatista.
