The Third Ferunian Separatist War, also known as the Ferunian Fascist Revolution, is an ongoing military conflict in southern New Illyricum between the New Illyrian government and the self-declared semi-recognized Republic of Ferunia. Fighting began on July 13 with the Battle of Ferunia, as the Free Ferunian Army (LAF) led by Janoa Vileo and President of Ferunia Julio Andreo attacked and quickly took control of most of the city of Ferunia. The LAF fully secured the city after a month of fighting, with the New Illyrian Armed Forces failing to mount successful counterassaults amidst rising political tension.
Immediately following the capture of Ferunia, the government of Pavulturilor announced its formal recognization of the Republic of Ferunia's independence, and Pavulturilor has allegedly supplied the LAF with military equipment through various Creeperopolis-based shell companies. However in opposition to Pavulturilor and other CODECO nations, the Alliance of Central Ecrosian States announced its formal condemnation of the Ferunian insurgency and recognized the LAF as a terrorist organization. Speaker of the Parliament of Quebecshire Lucien LaRochelle condemned Ferunia, and later cited the fascist group as a major factor in the establishment of the Declaration on Romerism and Fascism.
