Tewodros Tadesse (born 11 August 1978) is an Enjolan former military officer and politician serving as the nation's president since 1 January 2022.
Following the enactment of the 2004 Constitutional Address, which extended martial law under self-declared dictator Zubair Mwangi, then Colonel Tewodros of the Enjolan Armed Forces backed a military coup in 2005 that overthrew the regime that remained in power since the imperial family’s abdication in 1974.
The coup gained support from various factions within the military and civilian population, who had become disillusioned with the government after it failed to instate its promised socio-economic reform. The arrest of Mwangi and his cabinet after the coup allowed the nation to conduct its first free election the following year.
Tadesse ran for President of Enjola in the 2022 election under Action First, which he won by a landslide, securing nearly 62% of the vote.
