The 2020 Salvadoran presidential election was held on 1 January 2020. The Tribunals Generals, the legislature of El Salvador, voted to elect the country's next president. Orlando Pareja Palau was overwhelmingly selected as the country's next president, winning almost 87 percent of the vote.
