The 2023–24 New Illyrian protests were a series of protests and riots throughout New Illyricum which took place in the wake of the Aberso–Illyrian War and during the 2023–24 New Illyrian political crisis from September 2023 to July 2024. The protests began during the Aberso–Illyrian War, in which tensions between New Illyricum and Abersiania led to the Second Battle of the Claufenese Sea. Protestors, led largely by a loose organization known as the Peoples' Global Communist Unification Coalition, hoped to end the Pretoria Palace Summit, which had been arranged in Pretoria Palace, Tirol, in order to secure a peace treaty. Protests became especially violent in Trurnia and Ponturbe and compounded the growing political tension in the region.
