The Lliga Salvadoreña (Jackian: Salvadoran League) is the top division of professional football in El Salvador which is organized by the Salvadoran Football Federation.
The Liga Imperial was formed in 1921 following a presidential decree by Josep Graupera Arxe and originally consisted of eight clubs, playing its first season in 1922.
