The 1992 Monsilvan senate election was held on Saturday 08 August 1992 to elect members of the Senate for the 35th Parliament of Monsilva. After the resignation of Hsu Xue-zhou, the Reformed National Party was desperate to keep its unparalleled success in the parliament, however as evident from both this senate election and the federal election that took place at the same, Prime Minister Qi Hu's reputation did not meet the demands of the party. However, Wen Zhu, who served as Leader of the Senate under Hsu did not resign and was able to keep the party's majority in the senate.

The Freedom and Democracy Party saw some success, gaining 2 seats, but the Liberal Party saw the most success out of the three parties gaining 3 seats from 4 to 7. This election was the last before the first district re-organization which increased senate seats from 60 to 65. All 60 seats in the senate were up for election, and as is tradition, the election took place at the same time as the 1992 federal election.
