The 1988 Monsilvan senate election was held on Saturday 13 August 1988 to elect members of the Senate for the 34th Parliament of Monsilva. This election saw the second-largest proportion of the senate under the control of one party, with the largest being the preceding 1984 senate election. The Freedom and Democracy Party exchanged a seat in Amking with the RNP for another seat within the state while the RNP lost a seat to the growing Liberal Party.
All 60 seats in the senate were up for election, and as is tradition decided after the 1984 election, this election took place at the same time as the 1988 federal election.
