The Maroto Botín MB-8 is a Creeperian four-engine jet aircraft built by the Maroto Botín Aerospace Corporation. The MB-8 was the first jet-powered passenger airliner built by Maroto Botín.
History
In the mid-1950s, Creeperian Airlines requested the development of a jet-powered passenger airliner from the Maroto Botín Aerospace Corporation. The corporation had been planning the development of a piston-engine Maroto Botín MB-8, but after the request from Creeperian Airlines was made public, the piston-engine MB-8 project was canceled and the MB-8 was changed to be a 4-engine jet airliner.
The Maroto Botín MB-8 first flew on 17 February 1962 and entered service with Creeperian Airlines on 17 June 1962.
