The 2000 Salvadoran presidential election was held on 1 January 2000. The Tribunals Generals, the legislature of El Salvador, voted to elect the country's next president. Isaac Viscarri Lleó was unanimously selected as the country's next president, winning almost 100 percent of the vote.
