Otho (born Marcus Salvius Otho; April 28, 32 – April 16, 69 AD) was Romanyan emperor, ruling for three months from January 15 to April 16, 69. He was the second emperor of the Year of the Four Emperors. Otho took power in a coup of emperor Galba, however he was defeated at the First Battle of Molionacum by rebellious forces under Vitellius. Otho committed suicide shortly after and was succeeded by Vitellius.
