Octavus I (July 4, 1610 - August 11, 1630) was an Illyrian leader who served as King of Illyricum from 1618 to his death in 1630. During his reign Octavus co-ruled with his elder sister Maria I, who was also the Queen of Ferunia and Trurnia, from 1618 to 1627. Octavus relied heavily on his regents, Mercius Parnethus and Appius Carrentus, the latter of whom committed the Carrentian Massacres against religious groups before he was executed in 1625. In 1630 amidst continuing sickness, Octavus died, and was succeeded by his two-year-old son Marcellus II.
