The February 2023 El Salvador–Noundures summit was a meeting of the governments of El Salvador and Noundures which occurred on 17 February 2023. The meeting was held on the two week anniversary of the assassination of Noundurian President Malaquies Llorca Caparrós by the Military Intelligence and Security Service (SISM).
Background
On 3 February 2023, Noundurian President Malaquies Llorca Caparrós by the Military Intelligence and Security Service (SISM) in Olèrdola, the capital city of the Free Republic of Noundures.[1] He was succeeded by Minister of Defense Amèric Perarnau Agué who declared a state of emergency and placed the Free Noundurian Army (ELN) on high alert.[2]

Meeting
The government officials of El Salvador and Noundures met at the Sonsochapan Viceroyal Palace in Sonsochapan, the capital city of the Salvadoran department of Nou Hondures. Present at the summit were an estimated 500 soldiers of the Salvadoran Army and an additional 100 of the Free Noundurian Army (ELN). The presidents of both nations made a joint declaration condemning the assassination of Llorca Caparrós, both of them demanding an apology from Salisford and for those involved to be handed over to Noundures to face justice. Additionally, the Salvadoran Army agreed to lease one Creeperian-manufactured Cruzadore III main battle tank to the Free Noundurian Army for a period of ten years.[3]
Pareja Palau reaffirmed El Salvador's commitment to assuring Noundurian independence and peace.[3] He stated:
Malaquies Llorca Caparrós will forever be remembered as a Noundurian martyr who gave his life for the independence and liberty of the Noundurian people. El Salvador remains dedicated to defending Noundurian independence and will support the Noundurian government in its entirely in achieving peace throughout its entire territory, and one day, Lluís Altayo Ramió's vision will be completed and the Salvadoran people will be united.[3]
