1980–81 New Illyrian Premier Football League was the 91th season of the PLFNE. It was contested by 14 teams and EF Turis eventually won the championship, hoisting their second straight trophy.

Team changes

Inter Porto Ignaçio and Illyric were relegated to the second division. Gemini and Ponturbe United were promoted to the first division.
