EF Turis is a New Illyrian football club which competes in the New Illyrian Premier Football League and leads all clubs in the competition with forty-one league titles. The team also won the inaugural Terraconserva Club World Cup in 1981 with a 1-0 victory over CF San Salvador, which was considered by New Illyrian officials to be "the greatest upset of the 19th century." History
1980s Resurgence
In 1979 EF Turis finished second in the league after emerging out with a dominant 4-3-1 formation led by captain Marçelo Fojro and after beginning to rely heavily on a strong transition game centered around long balls along the sides of the pitch. The team entered the round of eight with high hopes, as favorites to win over Illyric in the semifinals, however they were upset 4-1 in a brutal loss after Faulo went down with a calf injury in the eighth minute.
