1979–80 New Illyrian Premier Football League was the 90th season of the PLFNE. It was contested by 14 teams and EF Turis eventually won the championship, hoisting their first trophy since 1950.
Team changes
Gemini and EF Nosterus were relegated to the second division. EF Alephonicum and EF Vesevio were promoted to the first division.
