Elections in New Illyricum have been held since the nation's founding in 1848 and all laws pertaining to them were decided independently by state, however following the 1992 marshall election the Constitution of New Illyricum was amended and changed to enforce a nation wide Proportional Voting system by political party.
Eligibility
Eligibility voting laws still vary state by state however in sixteen of the nineteen states of New Illyricum you may vote at age 16, and in the other remaining three you may vote at age 18. All men or women within the eligibility range who have resided in New Illyricum for at least 12 months or were born in New Illyricum may vote. However the right to vote is forfeited by all those who have served jail time or at currently in court with the possibility of jail time.
