The 2021–22 Salvadoran political crisis occurred between 30 December 2021 and 16 January 2022 when anti-government protestors and the Salvadoran political opposition formed an opposition political party and organized protests against the government of President Orlando Pareja Palau. The crisis ended with many protestors and opposition leaders being arrested, and the controversial death of primary opposition leader Adán Tamayo Navarro.
