Driver changes
Following the 2023 Salisfordian Grand Prix, Iżakk announced the team and driver Mikhail Kotlavchenko would be parting ways before the start of next season. Chienrú announced they were filling Chang's seat with the departing Kotlavchenko.
Markusse announced they were dropping Žarko Martinovic Antić in favor of elevating reserve driver Annamengia Sante, who became the second female driver on the grid after Georgia O'Concannon.
Osmín Salinas Quijada who had replaced Antonio Guerrero Carpio for Corona midway through the 2023 season was officially announced as the team's second driver, making his official full season GP1 debut.
List of planned races
The 2024 calendar comprises twenty-two Grands Prix. The Creeperian, Entropan, Hapatmitas, Gandorian, and Lurjizean Grands Prix will feature the sprint format.
Calendar expansion and changes
The Ajakanistan Grand Prix is scheduled to return after an absence in 2023 due to the OU military intervention in Ajakanistan. The Ilhavelha Grand Prix is set to make its debut. The race will be held at a newly constructed circuit in Ilhavelha, Montcrabe, becoming the second grand prix on the calendar held in Montcrabe.
Season Summary
Pre-season
A single pre-season test was held at the Mac Sigìth Raceway in Kilcullen on 21–23 February. Fabrizju Zolla of Renehan set the fastest time in the three-day test.
Opening rounds
For the season-opening Baltanlan Grand Prix, Iżakk's Wu Chang took pole position, his second straight pole after he took the final pole of 2023 in Salisford. Chang qualified ahead of Renehan driver Alfons Menegus and Scutari driver Vitale Scutari. Iżakk's Frenċ Bakere crashed on lap 40, triggering a safety car and enabling the Chienrú of Mikhail Kotlavchenko and the Schipol of Maddox Chance to take first and second respectively due to fortunately timed pit stops. Menegus won the Grand Prix ahead of Chang, with Renehan driver and reigning world champion Fabrizju Zolla coming in third from a fifth place qualification.
At the next grand prix in Ajakanistan, Zolla took his first pole position of the season ahead of Bakere and Scutari. The race would feature a back and forth battle for the lead between Zolla and Bakere who traded leads of the race while on different pit stop strategy. A retirement on lap 48 by Chance triggered a safety car with Bakere in lead of the race and Zolla in fourth behind Markusse's Olivier de Marsotte and Kotlavchenko. Zolla would end up passing Kotlavchenko and de Marsotte but was unable to catch Bakere and finished second. de Marsotte finished third for both his and Markusse's first podium of the season while his teammate Annamengia Sante finished tenth for her career points finish.

Scoring system
Points are awarded to the top ten classified drivers, the driver who sets the fastest lap during the Grand Prix (only if one of the top ten), and the top eight of the sprint. In the case of a tie on points, a countback system is used where the driver with the most Grand Prix wins is ranked higher (if the number of wins is identical, then the number of second places is considered, and so on). The points are awarded for every race using the following system:
Position | 1st | 2nd | 3rd | 4th | 5th | 6th | 7th | 8th | 9th | 10th | FL* |
---|---|---|---|---|---|---|---|---|---|---|---|
Race | 25 | 18 | 15 | 12 | 10 | 8 | 6 | 4 | 2 | 1 | 1 |
Sprint | 8 | 7 | 6 | 5 | 4 | 3 | 2 | 1 |
