Team changes

Mercedes-Benz announced they were withdrawing from Gran-Prix One and selling the Mercedes-Benz GP1 Team to a Kivuan-Abersianian group of investors led by Fred Schipol. The new team would be known as Schipol Motorsports and use power units supplied by Renehan.

Driver changes

Annamengia Sante (left) made her GP1 debut with Markusse. Osmín Salinas Quijada (right) made his official full season debut with Corona.

Following the 2023 Salisfordian Grand Prix, Iżakk announced the team and driver Mikhail Kotlavchenko would be parting ways before the start of next season. Iżakk entered into a bidding war with Chienrú over Wu Chang whose contract expired in 2023, with Iżakk eventually signing the Monsilvan driver at a reported contract of ₵40 million credits. Chienrú announced they were filling Chang's seat with the departing Kotlavchenko.

Markusse announced they were dropping Žarko Martinovic Antić in favor of elevating reserve driver Annamengia Sante, who became the second female driver on the grid after Georgia O'Concannon.

Osmín Salinas Quijada who had replaced Antonio Guerrero Carpio for Corona midway through the 2023 season was officially announced as the team's second driver, making his official full season GP1 debut.

The race will be held at a newly constructed circuit in Ilhavelha, Montcrabe, becoming the second grand prix on the calendar held in Montcrabe.

Season Summary

Pre-season

A single pre-season test was held at the Mac Sigìth Raceway in Kilcullen on 21–23 February. Fabrizju Zolla of Renehan set the fastest time in the three-day test.

Opening rounds

For the season-opening Baltanlan Grand Prix, Iżakk's Wu Chang took pole position, his second straight pole after he took the final pole of 2023 in Salisford. Chang qualified ahead of Renehan driver Alfons Menegus and Scutari driver Vitale Scutari. Despite initially retaining the lead of the race, Chang would eventually be overtaken for the lead by Menegus on lap 22. Iżakk's Frenċ Bakere crashed on lap 40, triggering a safety car and enabling the Chienrú of Mikhail Kotlavchenko and the Schipol of Maddox Chance to take first and second respectively due to fortunately timed pit stops. Menegus won the Grand Prix ahead of Chang, with Renehan driver and reigning world champion Fabrizju Zolla coming in third from a fifth place qualification.

Pole sitter Esteban Cruz Albeño during qualifying at the Creeperian Grand Prix. It was his first pole position since the 2022 season

At the next grand prix in Ajakanistan, Zolla took his first pole position of the season ahead of Bakere and Scutari. The race would feature a back and forth battle for the lead between Zolla and Bakere who traded leads of the race while on different pit stop strategy. A retirement on lap 48 by Chance triggered a safety car with Bakere in lead of the race and Zolla in fourth behind Markusse's Olivier de Marsotte and Kotlavchenko. Zolla would end up passing Kotlavchenko and de Marsotte but was unable to catch Bakere and finished second. de Marsotte finished third for both his and Markusse's first podium of the season while his teammate Annamengia Sante finished tenth for her first career points finish.

The Creeperian Grand Prix saw the first sprint race of the season. Menegus took the opening sprint pole of the season, but the session was won by Bakere who qualified in third. Esteban Cruz Albeño earned his first pole of the season at both his and his team's, Corona, home race. Second-place qualifier Bakere secured another straight race victory with Albeño finishing second for his best result in two years. The race earned a safety car on the second lap after third place qualifier Búri Hlíðbergsson of Chienrú collided with fifth-place qualifier Menegus, causing both cars to retire. The race faced it's third retirement when Georgia O'Concannon of Moffatt retired on lap 64; her second retirement of the weekend after she retired in the sprint race. Sebastian Chlebowski finished seventh for his first points of the season from a 16th place qualification.

Scoring system

Points are awarded to the top ten classified drivers, the driver who sets the fastest lap during the Grand Prix (only if one of the top ten), and the top eight of the sprint. In the case of a tie on points, a countback system is used where the driver with the most Grand Prix wins is ranked higher (if the number of wins is identical, then the number of second places is considered, and so on). The points are awarded for every race using the following system:

Position 1st 2nd 3rd 4th 5th 6th 7th 8th 9th 10th FL*
Race 25 18 15 12 10 8 6 4 2 1 1
