Marius I, called the Prudent (c. 628 - June 20, 674) was the king of Illyricum from 669 to 674. Marius took power after the assassination of Marcus I and the end of the Capitolan dynasty. During his reign, Marius fought a series of unsuccessful campaigns in the Andaluzian Mountains, during which he eventually died.
