Romanyan Moncamecia was a province of the Romanyan Empire and previously of the Romanyan Republic which came into Romanyan control around 190 BC when Romanyan general Sejanus Brutellus conquered the region. The provincial capital of Secundia was founded in 104 AD, and supplanted Turis as the main city in the region with close control over the mineral-rich Andaluzian Mountains. Romanyan control in the region fell apart in 629 AD, after Secundia was sacked by Muslim invaders who swept through the region.
