Best Miguelist after election Gjorka Social Communist

On 21 and 22 August 2024, members of the Terraconserva roleplay (TRA) voted to determine who was the better Miguelist: Gagium or Gjorka. Both candidates were known within the TRA community as two of the most prominent advocates of Miguelism and frequently engaged in arguments with each other over who was a better Miguelist.

The electoral process included numerous unverified, false, and misleading claims and accusations made by both Gagium and Gjorka against each other. Both candidates also used degrading nicknames against each other and spread propaganda to damage their opponent's reputation.

Gjorka was elected as the best Miguelist with over 63 percent of the vote.

Background

On 20 August 2024 at 11:43 p.m. EDT, Gagium, a prominent Miguelist in the Terraconserva roleplay (TRA), mocked Gjorka, another prominent Miguelist, by telling him to "cope" about Gagium having a lower Imperial Credit score than Gjorka. Gagium also claimed that Gjorka "wish[ed]" that he was "half the [M]iguelist" he was. Gjorka refuted Gagium's claim of having the lowest Imperial Credit score by accusing Gagium of cheating to get his score and that Gjorka was "winning biggly [sic]".

Both Gagium and Gjorka proceeded to argue in #tra-general about who was a better Miguelist resulting in them being deducted 9,800 and 1,810 Imperial Credit points, respectively, by Creeperopolis. Gagium responded to his deduction of points by claiming: "Gjorka can't do [M]iguelism like I do [M]iguelism. Sad!" Gjorka responded to his deduction of points by claiming that it was "the lamestream [sic] Creeperian regime at work" and a "hoax". Gjorka also claimed to have a lot of supporters, while Gagium claimed that his supporters were "fake AI crowds". Creeperopolis described Gagium and Gjorka's arguing as "a commentary on how [M]iguelists in [TRA] always try to one-up each other to prove that theyre [sic] a bigger [M]iguelist".

Gagium and Gjorka continued to proclaim themselves as being the best Miguelist while accusing the other of not being so. Both also accuse each other about lying about their popularity among fellow Miguelists. Gagium described himself as a "REAL Miguelism First Patriot" and claimed that he had the support of the "SILENT MIGUELIST MAJORITY". He also accused Gjorka of being a Romerist, the far-right counterpart of Miguelism; Gjorka responded with a gif of Donald Trump saying "WRONG". Gjorka accused Gagium of not having a "positive impact on the thugs who are so happily and openly destroying San Salvador", in reference to the Romerist Creeperian government. Paleocacher responded with an image of Caudillo Augusto Cabañeras Gutiérrez reading "This post was fact checked by real Creeperian patriots: TRUE" which Gjorka interpreted as an endorsement.

After continued arguing between Gagium and Gjorka, Creeperopolis decided to open a poll in #tra-announcements to determine who was the "Best Miguelist". The poll opened on 21 August 2024 at 12:30 a.m. EDT. Gagium responded to Creeperopolis' announcement with a "chess_brilliant" emoji.

Electoral system

The election was held via a Discord poll in #tra-announcements on 21 and 22 August 2024. The poll ran for 24 hours. The winner was decided by first-past-the-post; the candidate with the most votes won. The winner received –10,000 Imperial Credit points for each vote they received; the loser received –5,000 Imperial Credit points for each vote they received. Votes were not secret.

Election conduct

Vote counting

Early in the vote counting process, Gagium held a 4–2 lead over Gjorka, however, the results soon flipped to a 4–2 Gjorka lead. The flip came shortly after Gjorka send a message in #ostlandet-union calling upon the members of the Ostlandet Union to vote for him, promising to "make Ostlandet Great Again". After one hour, Gjorka held an 8–3 lead over Gagium. At 9:30 a.m. EDT, 12 hours after voting opened, Gjorka held a 20–6 lead over Gagium. By 3:00 p.m. EDT, Gagium had cut down Gjorka's lead to 18–11, and by 3:30 p.m. EDT, Gjorka's lead had been reduced to 16–14. By 5:35 p.m. EDT, Gjorka had extended his lead to 19–13. At 6:50 p.m. EDT, Gagium regained the lead, leading Gjorka by 17–16, but Gjorka regained a 18–16 lead shortly afterwards. By 8:10 p.m. EDT, Gagium had established a 21–17 lead over Gjorka.

Canceled debate

At 12:46 a.m. EDT, Gagium challenged Gjorka to a debate. Gjorka accepted Gagium's challenge, and Gagium stated that the debate would be a "GREAT OPPORTUNITY FOR MIGUELISTS TO SEE BROKEN DOWN LITTLE GJORKA!". Gjorka demanded that Gagium undergo a drug test prior to the debate. Creeperopolis stated that he would create debate questions for Gagium and Gjorka. When he published six questions for both Gagium and Gjorka to respond to, neither responded to any of the questions and both reacted with the "chess_blunder" emoji. Gagium further claimed that "GJORKA is conspiring with CROOKED CREEPER to be sent the debate questions" and that the debate was allegedly rigged. Gjorka responded to Gagium by claiming that he made his claims because he was "TERRIFIED". The debate was subsequently canceled.

Unverified claims

Both Gagium and Gjorka made several unverifiable, misleading, and false statements during the vote counting process.

Immediately after voting started, Gagium stated that he would "send in mail in [sic] Gagium votes after everyone goes to sleep". Gjorka falsely claimed that Gagium conceded the election and congratulated Gjorka on his alleged victory. He added: "I WILL WIN!!". Gagium subsequently accused Gjorka of voting for himself, describing it as "SAD!!!!!!!!". He also claimed that "ELECTION FRAUD [is] HAPPENING!". Gjorka encouraged voters to vote in person and not through mail-in ballots. Gagium claimed that he was creating a "LANDSLIDE IN THE MAKING!" and that his victory would be a "GREAT WIN FOR MIGUELISTS!". When Gjorka called upon the Ostlandet Union to vote for him, Gagium claimed that Gjorka was "PANICKING". Gjorka responded to Gagium by claiming that his supporters would "COME IN DROVERS [sic]" and that his voters were "THE GREAT SILENT MAJORITY".

When Gagium's 4–2 lead flipped to a 4–2 lead for Gjorka, Gagium said "STOP THE STEAL!!!", claiming that the election was being stolen by an unspecified third party. When Gjorka held a 6–1 lead over Gagium, Aura remarked that "Wow. True Gagium patriots must be asleep." Gjorka responded to Aura by claiming "They don’t exist! All paid actors!" Gagium responded by claiming that Sconia was an "AI GENERATED GJORKAN VOTER!" Gjorka subsequently claimed that "EVERYONE IS ENDORSING THE MAKE MIGUELISM GREAT AGAIN MOVEMENT". Gagium responded by claiming that Gjorka was endorsed by the "WOKE ACES CABAL and LIBERAL OU".

When Gjorka held an 8–3 lead over Gagium, At 1:32 a.m. EDT, Gjorka claimed that he was "up 93% in the polls" despite leading 8–3, a margin of 45.46 points. He also claimed that he was "winning by so much" and "[winning] more than any else in the history of winning". Gagium contrarily claimed that he was also leading the polls with 93 percent approval. He also asked Creeperopolis to find "6 lovely Miguelist votes". Gagium claimed that Gjorka was "ordering mail in [sic] ballots from Ecros and Ostlandet" and that he "had to ping dozens". Gagium claimed that Gjorka promoted "Ostlandet First" or "Ecros First" in opposition to his slogan of "Miguelism First".

Gjorka claimed that Gagium was blaming all of his electoral problems, including his supposed "really bad performance in the polls", on Gjorka. He claimed that "some" said that Gagium was "not respectful" and "choked" without attributing the supposed quotations. Gjorka claimed that he was "being as nice as possible" and accused Gagium of "systematically destroy[ing] our ideology [Miguelism]".

At 10:34 a.m. EDT, Gagium claimed that the election was rigged by Gjorka and that Gagium was in fact winning "YUGELY". At 11:01 a.m. EDT, Reykanes announced his intention to enter the election despite not being allowed ballot access, claiming that "none of the canditates [sic] are real [M]iguelists", that he was "full on communist in [TRA] lore meanwhile they not really", and that the "vote was rigged". Gjorka responded to Reykanes' claims with a gif of Trump saying "FAKE NEWS".

Gjorka, 21 August 2024

At 11:14 a.m. EDT, Gjorka announced that Anjan Kloss was his running mate. At 1:24 p.m. EDT, Reykanes withdrew his third-party candidacy and endorsed Gjorka, describing him as "for real". When Creeperopolis stated that Gagium had flipped two of Gjorka's votes to make Gjorka's lead 19–8, Sconia claimed that Gagium "WANTS TO STEAL MONEY" and that he should be executed via the guillotine. Monsilva responded to Sconia, describing Gjorka's campaign as "more like a hate campaign than a campaign to do good". Gagium falsely claimed that Gjorka was endorsed by "CODECO, ACES, and [the] OU". He also claimed that a "Romerist Deepstate" supported Gjorka and hates Miguelism, and that Gjorka was "SENDING IN VOTES BY THE MORBILLIONS [sic]". After Sconia recast his vote for Gjorka, Gagium claimed that he "just CAST A VOTE for his OWN GENOCIDE. TRULY PATHETIC!" Gagium accused Gjorka and Kivu of being corrupt, and Gagium also accused Gjorka of being "CONSULATE-BACKED".

Gagium promised to "make weeb culture great again" if he won the election. He claimed that Gjorka was "SCARED" to endorse "WEEB CULTURE". At 3:00 p.m. EDT, Zloveshchiy announced that weeb culture had endorsed Gjorka. Gagium responded to the announcement by stating "I LOVE MIGUELISM AND I LOVE ROMERO-KUN!" which received heavy criticism from Gjorka's campaign, accusing Gagium of supporting Romerism. Gagium denied the accusations, claiming that Romero-Kun was "A GREAT MIGUELIST PATRIOT!". Gjorka claimed that Gagium was a "CODECO BACKED DEEP STATE PUPPET".

After Pavulturilor's endorsement of Gjorka, Gagium claimed that "GJORKA HAS THE 'SHEEP VOTE'" and claimed that those who voted for Gjorka were "SHEEP". Gagium also claimed that he was "A REAL PEOPLE'S CANDIDATE! FOR MIGUELISTS IN ECROS, OSTLANDET, AND SUR!" Gagium proceeded to make allegedly racist remarks, including calling Gjorka a "SQUG". When Pavulturilor asked Gagium who his running mate would be, Gagium stated that a "MAJOR ANNOUNCEMENT IN THE WORKS". Gjorka claimed that Gagium wanted CODECO to "control [M]iguelism". Kivu falsely claimed that "Gagium eats WHITE GUY TACOS", which Gagium described as "fake news".

Gagium, 21 August 2024

At 3:39 p.m. EDT, Tumland claimed that Gjorka had attempted to force Tumland to change his vote through intimidation. At 3:42 p.m. EDT, Gagium announced that Jack Empire would be his running-mate, claiming that he was a "GREAT SUPPORTER" of Femboys for Gagium, Patriots for Gagium, and Miguelists for Gagium.

At 5:32 p.m. EDT, Tirol changed his vote from Gagium to Gjorka after seeing that Jack Empire was Gagium's running mate. Gjorka described Tirol's vote change as "HOLY BASED", and Tirol described himself as a "never-gager". Gagium accused Gjorka of bribing Tirol. Tirol claimed that "lots of people [are] saying Gagium's regretting his VP pick, WEIRD GUY". Gagium denied Tirol's claims, describing Jack Empire as a "GREAT MIGUELIST PATRIOT". Tirol later withdrew his endorsement of Gjorka and re-endorsed Gagium after Gjorka allegedly offered Tirol a cabinet position. Gjorka claimed that the allegations were fake.

At 6:27 p.m. EDT, Tirol published a screenshot which supposedly depicted Gjorka offering Tirol the position of Vice President if he supported his campaign, saying that Gagium was "winning BIGLY". Tirol accompanied the screenshot by claiming that the "CROOKED Gjorka campaign [is] in DISARRAY". Tirol claimed that Gjorka deleted his offer. Regarding the situation Creeperopolis remarked, "did [G]jorka really just offer to kick out [K]ivu in exchange for [T]irol's vote, and [T]ivu is just ok with this". Gagium and Tirol affirmed Creeperopolis' remark, while Gjorka and Kivu refuted it. Tirol later claimed that Gjorka once stated that he was "exploiting the working class"; Gjorka claimed that Tirol's claim was "ANOTHER fake screenshot".

When Rakhman changed his vote from Gjorka to Gagium at 6:50 p.m. EDT, Gagium regained the lead for the first time since the first hour of voting, taking a 17–16 lead. Rakhman soon after changed his vote back to Gjorka and Council of Feathers voted for Gjorka. Rakhman again soon after changed his vote back to Gagium after "NEW DEVELOPMENTS HAVE COME UP", making Gagium and Gjorka tied at 17–17. Monsilva claimed that 13 of Gjorka's votes were cast by bots. Tirol claimed that a supposed "LIBERAL DEEP STATE" was "STEALING ballots from Gagium". Gjorka posted a photograph of him with some bread and falsely claimed that Gagium had "taken 0 photos with bread". Creeperopolis posted a photograph of Gagium with bread, which Gjorka rejected as being "fake".

At 8;00 p.m. EDT, Kivu disclosed that Gjorka's campaign was supported by the Terraconserva Council of Nations (TCN), and Gagium claimed that the "DEEP STATE BACKS GJORKA". Kivu refuted Gagium by claiming that that TCN was not a deep state. At 8:12 p.m. EDT, Gagium published evidence that Gjorka had offered to bribe Quebecshire $20 to "make [Gagium] lose". Gjorka denied the allegations, claiming that it was fake, to which Gagium responded "Cry Gjorka Cry".

At 10:35 p.m. EDT, an unknown incident caused Discord's Auto Mod to send an "Unusual DM Activity Detected" warning. Gagium and Gjorka both denied any involvement.

Quebecshire election interference

At 8:17 p.m. EDT, Quebecshire threatened to destroy the polling station and undemocratically install his own "Best Miguelist" after claiming, without evidence, that both Gagium and Gjorka had attempted to bribe and blackmail him. His threat received widespread backlash from supporters of both Gagium and Gjorka. Gjorka accused Quebecshire of "interferring [sic] in democracy".

At 11:09 p.m. EDT, Gagium falsely claimed that Gjorka had "100% OF THE FORMER CONSULATE VOTE" as Creeperopolis, a former chief consul, had voted for him. Gagium clarified that Creeperopolis was "not like them", but rather "a man of the people". At 8:14 p.m. EDT, several of Gagium's voters swapped their votes to give Gjorka a 27–19 lead. Quebecshire admitted to coordinating the vote swapping.

After Gagium's 24–23 lead was turned into him trailing Gjorka 28–19, he claimed that he was "WINNING AND BY A LOT" and that the election was being stolen. Gjorka claimed that his apparent victory was the "biggest win in the history of winning".

At 11:44 p.m. EDT, Gjorka stated:

Coping Leader Gagium just stated that the "Fraud is on his desk at all times." Will someone from his depleted and food starved regime please inform him that I too have Fraud, but it is a much bigger & more powerful one than his, and my Fraud works!

Nicknames used

Both Gagium and Gjorka used several nicknames against their opponents to degrade them. Nicknames used by Gagium include "Broken Down Little Gjorka", "Crying Gjorka", "Crying Little Gjorka", "Crying Lying Gjorka", "Little Gjorka", "Lying Crying Gjorka", "Lying Gjorka", and "Miguelist In Name Only". Gagium also referred to Creeperopolis as "Crooked Creeper", "Crooked Creeperopolis", "Kill All Muslims Crooked Creeper"; Kivu as "Korrupt [sic] Kivu"; and Sconia as "Stupid Sconia". Nicknames used by Gjorka include "Coping Leader Gagium", "Crooked Left Gagium", "Little Gagasanctamonious", "Low Energy Gagium", "Lyin' Gagium", "Sleepy Gag", and "Sleepy Gagium". Gjorka also referred to Tirol as "Low-IQ Tirol" and "Tiny Tirol".

Opinion polling

Despite claims from both Gagium and Gjorka about supposedly leading the other by wide margins in opinion polls throughout the election, no opinion polling was conducted until 3:39 p.m. EDT. The first opinion poll, held by Majocco, found that 100 percent of voters supported Gagium's campaign. A second opinion poll was held by Monsilva at 8:07 p.m. EDT; it found that 75 percent of voters supported Gagium. Both opinion polls were deleted shortly after being initially published, which Gagium claimed was done by the "deep state".

Aftermath

Gjorka was elected as the best Miguelist with 63.83 percent of the vote. In his victory speech, he stated:

WHAT A HUGE VICTORY!!

I've just received a call from Gagium. He didn't congratulate me. I told him to cope and seethe. I celebrated our victory in his face, and I congratulated him and his campaign on a very, very poorly-fought campaign. Everyone was against us. The polling said we had no chance, and yet we had the most dominant election victory ever, in the history of Miguelism.

It is time. I pledge to every Miguelist of our land that I will be Leader for all Miguelists, yes even brain-worm Gagiumcrats, and this is so important to me. For those who have chosen not to support me in the past, of which there were a few braindead people, I'm reaching out to say what losers you are, so support me (a winner) so that we can work together and defeat the great romerist menace.

So it’s been what they call a historic event, but to be really historic, we have to do a great job, and I promise you that I will not let you down. We will do a great job. We will do a great job. Creeperopolis will be destroyed. On 12 January 2025, shortly after Gagium was appointed as a consul of the Republic, he falsely declared himself as "THE ONE REAL WINNER OF THE 2024 MIGUELIST ELECTION!!" Gjorka rebuked Gagium's declaration, stating that the "Supreme Miguelist is a higher position than Chief Consul".
