Illyrians, sometimes referred to as Illyrics, (Illyrian Iberic: Elyroes, Gaucho: Ilíricans) are people from New Illyricum or of Illyric descent. Illyrians is also sometimes used to only refer to people born on the Illyric Peninsula or those born in Porto Enateo. The term first came into use following the Romanyan occupation of Illyricum, and at the time many people were labeled as Iberics, however this distinction soon became meaningless due to the long standing cultural mixing of the Illyrians and the Iberics. During the Montcrabin occupation Illyrians were referred to as Ilíricans, which is still used by most Gaúcho speakers in modern day Illyricum. Almost all Illyrians live in New Illyricum, with marginal amounts living in mostly in Tyrandor.
