Gaius Julius Caesar Augustus (born Gaius Octavius; September 23, 63 BC – August 19, 2 AD), also known as Octavian (Romanyan Iberic: Octavianus), was the founder of the Romanyan Empire and its first emperor from 35 BC to his death in 2 AD. Augustus' reign saw the establishment of the imperial cult as well as the Pax Romanya, which was an era of peace throughout the Romanyan Empire. Augustus was succeeded by his adopted son Crispus.
