The Battle of Ferunia, also known as the 2024 Ferunian coup d'état, is an ongoing military engagement in Ferunia between New Illyricum and the separatist Republic of Ferunia. On July 13 members of the Free Ferunian Army (LAF) organized a series of missile strikes launched from Ponturbe and Trurnia before a larger force, estimated to number around 7,500 soldiers, advanced in on Ferunia from the southeast. Ferunian troops quickly overran the heavily outnumbered New Illyrian troops, with President of Ferunia Julio Andreo and LAF leader Janoa Vileo leading Ferunian troops into the city.
