Earl Marco Benedicto (814 - 870) of Apollonia, Salonia, Sver and Caera, was a royal titleholder in the New Kingdom of Illyricum under the Augustine dynasty who helped lead the Illyrian conquest of Kersevonia, conquering the city of Caera (modern day Khaenri'ah), as well as helping to reestablish Illyrian control over the Mareçyan Isles at the Battle of the Straight of Apollonia. Benedicto was among the most powerful figures in Illyrian history, ruling over almost a fourth of Illyricum with almost entirely independent power of King Quintus II.
