Innovate Monsilva (Monsilvan: 创新山国; pinyin: Chuàngxīn Shānguó), is a right-wing populist political party in the Monsilvan Republic. Innovate Monsilva currently has 15 seats in Monsilvan parliament as of 2024. The party also has 13 seats in total across all state parliaments as of 2023. The party's ideology focuses on free education, including university, limited federal government and an increase in federalism as well as following many neoliberal policies.

The party usually garners conservative support from former RNP or PNP voters and has seen growing support across the country, especially since 2020 and noticeably in the states of Weishi, Bazhong and Zaixian, of which each state parliament has two members of Innovate Monsilva. The party has managed to gain increased support more recently likely due to its decision to be slightly more specific on its policies. For example, the party recently supported legislation relating to the rights of LGBT individuals as well as three legislations relating to women's rights which created a visible surge in membership of the party. Although the party has conservative views, many of its members consider it to be centrist and more politically moderate, and occasionally libertarian.

The party won its first seats in the 2023 federal election, which took place after the Legislative Reform Act 2023 and the Electoral Reform Act 2023, winning 13 of the 454 seats in the Legislative Assembly.. Since 2020, Innovate Monsilva has been a member of the Nationalist Coalition alongside the RNP and PNP. In 2024, it established 'Innovate Shaoyu' as its equivalent party in Shaoyu.

History

The party was created in 2010 by Yan Xiaotong, a former member of the Reformed National Party (RNP). He was also joined by many fellow members of the RNP as well as some who had been recruited during the foundation process from the People's New Party and some independent politicians and members of minor parties. The party was initially established as a conservative party that advocated for a smaller federal government, however over time the party's ideology has expanded from that point, thanks to many new members over the following 10 years.

The party had very stagnant growth throughout the 2010s, likely due to limited advocacy and advertisement of the party's policies and existence. However, when Xia He Yüan took over party leadership in late 2021, the party's membership has since doubled and the party frequently advertises itself, especially in more conservative areas of states, with the most success in rural areas of Bazhong, Weishi and Zaixian.

Policy

Sections of Innovate Monsilva's manifesto have included many policies ranging from hardline conservative to liberal and libertarian, some of these policies include:

• Reform of social insurance and pension system, with the introduction of a universal basic income of M¥2700 per month, with additional supplements for the elderly.
• Reform of income tax and social insurance fees, replacing the current system with a two-tiered income tax
• Deregulation of the workforce, allowing for compensated dismissals
• Universal access to free education from preschool to university
• Deregulation of protected industries such as ridesharing, finance and agriculture
• Maintaining current emission reduction targets with consideration of carbon pricing schemes
• Push for further devolution, while allocating the consumption tax as a regional tax
• Constitutional amendments including: Universal free education, devolution, and the establishment of constitutional courts
