The 2023 Monsilvan presidential election took place on 1 and 14 December 2023. Chiu Zan was re-elected for the third time, the first time a Monsilvan president has been elected for a fourth term as term limits had been abolished earlier in the year. This election was also the first held in Monsilva with a two round system, in which the top two parties from the first round enter a second round if no party won a majority in the first round. The system is intended to allow voters who voted for an eliminated candidate to choose among the remaining two they would prefer be president.
Chiu Zan lead both rounds, with 43.3% of the vote in the first round and 60.4% in the second round. Her immense popularity throughout her previous terms has allowed her to gain a significant lead against fellow candidates. The country's recent success against Zloveshchiy in the OU military intervention in Akvatika and her support for welfare projects for young people have gained her support from a wide range of voters. Lai Shan's non-political or academic background damaged his reputation amongst many voters which may have also contributed to Chiu's large lead. The Liberal Party candidates, Ho Tang and Tao Peizhi, were popular within their party and gained 16.2% of the vote in the first round, which is the highest since Ling Mu in the 2008 election.
The People's New Party and the Green Party both saw increased success in this election, winning 3.9% and 3.6% of the vote respectively in the first round.
